What is The Market?

The Market at Ember redistributes free quality food and home goods donated by local retailers to reduce food waste and promote the health of individuals and families in Bellevue and beyond..

Where types of products does The Market provide?

We receive a wide variety of goods, including fruits and vegetables, pastries, dairy and alternative dairy products, condiments, bread and gluten-free items, canned goods, snacks, breakfast foods, frozen treats, meat and plant-based options, and even home goods, baby items and toiletries. Types and amount of available products vary daily depending on donations.

Does it cost anything to shop The Market?

No! Everything offered at The Market is entirely free and offered as a resource to our community, city and surrounding region.

What language’s are present?

All of our food labels offer translations in English, Spanish, Russian and Korean

Where do donations come from?

We are a partner site of Food Lifeline and receive donations from Target, Metropolitan Market, Whole Foods, Safeway, QFC and Fred Meyer.

Who manages The Market?

We are entirely run by volunteers and are always looking for more team members. There are many opportunities at a variety of times throughout the week to get involved. Learn more about available volunteer positions and sign up here.
